OMD’s Summer of Hits

With over 40 million records sold and a career spanning more than four decades, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are among the defining pioneers of synth-pop. In the summer of 2026, the British band will return to Germany for eight major open-air concerts as part of OMD’s Summer of Hits. The tour will take them to Hanau, Stuttgart, Bonn, Bremen, Schwerin, Berlin, Halle (Saale), and Dresden—with a setlist that celebrates their greatest classics as well as their latest work.

Since their formation in 1978 in Wirral, England, OMD has combined experimental electronic music with catchy pop melodies—a blend that led to worldwide success with songs like “Enola Gay,” “Souvenir,” “Maid of Orleans,” and “If You Leave.” Following the acclaimed studio album *Bauhaus Staircase* (2023), considered their most political work to date, a sold-out UK tour followed in 2024, culminating at London’s O2 Arena, along with acclaimed performances in the U.S. OMD are known for their distinctive synthesizer sounds, high-energy performances, and a timeless style that bridges generations—an invitation to spend the summer of 2026 dancing.
