EventimWithin just a few seconds, it’s clear who’s singing here: With her distinctive voice, catchy guitar playing, and knack for choruses that stick in your head right away, Amy Macdonald has secured a firm place in European pop. More than twelve million records sold, over a billion streams, twelve international platinum certifications, and performances in front of millions of people prove that her career extends far beyond a single hit. In July 2027, the Scottish singer will return to Germany for seven concerts. These dates follow an intense year of live performances: In the spring of 2026, Amy Macdonald presented her latest studio album, “Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?,” here in Germany on a sold-out arena tour. This was followed in August by a total of 13 open-air shows across Germany. On “Is This What You’ve Been Waiting For?”, released in the fall of 2025, Macdonald sings about toxic friendships, stagnant relationships, and the pressure of societal expectations. Above all, however, the album is about the moment when standing still is no longer enough. The songs tell of letting go, of survival, and of looking forward again despite setbacks. As a result, the singer-songwriter sounds more determined and unvarnished than ever before. The title track, in particular, embodies this attitude. With a pulsating rhythm and great dynamism, it captures the excitement of a concert evening. Amy Macdonald doesn’t view live music as a mere reproduction of her recordings, but as an immediate exchange with the audience. This is where what makes her special becomes clear: she can fill large venues and arenas while still addressing every song directly to the people in front of her. Her concerts don’t rely on distance or over-the-top staging, but on presence, energy, and a voice that carries even in the quiet moments. The fact that her debut album “This Is the Life” will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2027 adds a special, nostalgic element to the tour dates. With the title track and the single “Mr. Rock & Roll,” Amy Macdonald achieved her international breakthrough in 2007. With her folk-rock sound and clever songwriting, she found a global following and delivered hits that have become indispensable today. The concerts in the summer of 2027 will thus bring the past and present together: familiar anthems, current songs, powerful band moments, and quiet passages in which Macdonald’s precise storytelling shines through, promising moving evenings.
