About Alanis Morissette
Since 1995, Alanis Morissette has been one of the most influential singer-songwriters in contemporary music. Her expressive work and performances have garnered critical acclaim and seven Grammy Awards. Morissette’s 1995 album “JAGGED LITTLE PILL” was a tour de force that changed the sound of pop music worldwide. It was followed by nine more eclectic and highly acclaimed albums. She has contributed musically to feature films and has appeared as an actress on both the big and small screen. Outside of the entertainment industry, she is an avid activist and advocate for female empowerment and spiritual, psychological and physical wholeness. In 2016, Alanis Morissette launched “Conversation with Alanis Morissette,” a monthly podcast featuring conversations with a variety of respected thought leaders, authors, doctors, educators and therapists covering a wide range of psychosocial topics from spirituality to development to art.
In 2019, JAGGED LITTLE PILL: THE MUSICAL made its Broadway debut at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City and was subsequently nominated for fifteen Tony Awards. In 2020, Alanis released her ninth studio album “Such Pretty Forks In The Road”, which received rave reviews. This was followed in 2022 by a meditation album entitled “The Storm Before The Calm”. After the pandemic, Alanis made a triumphant return to the stage with sold-out arena tours in America, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia. Her most recent 35-date Triple Moon Tour sold over 600,000 tickets in the summer of 2024 and thrilled audiences in sold-out venues across North America.
